The repeated attacks on liberal education in the media and from politicians require  ammunition in response.  Here's some

This poem starts Nicholas Jones off on an inquiry into what is  useless and useful in the liberal arts .  His article should be required reading for all college students, their parents -and (I suppose it is too much to hope for) politicians.
